Anyone else have difficulty understanding them?

I have enjoyed this series and am disappointed that it's being dropped but I have to admit...I was often replaying scenes.....increasing volume and STILL failing to understand what Martha was saying..it was if she was swallowing the words...lips didn't even move enough to give me any help.Every season I HOPED it would become easier as I became familiar...but....no good!

Try watching with Closed Captioning (CC) turned on. So you must be in the UK to have seen more than the 1st series?

The dvd set I'm watching has subtitles.

No. But then I'm Irish so I'm well used to different English accents. I had the same problem as you when I was watching The Wire!
