Do Famous People go To Their Reunions?
liked the movie but the famous musician going back to his 10 year high school reunion was interesting to me. made me wonder if other famous people in real life have done that.

shareProbably some do depending on their status. "Really huge" stars no, probably could not bare to mingle with the "lesser" crowd and/or wouldn't be able to enjoy it as real people without body guards and people hounding them for autographs and pictures.

After writing Gross Point Blank, John Cusack and Jeremy Piven went to their high school reunions.
sharei skipped mine.
shareI live in Phoenix and in just the last few years Dolph Ziggler and the Bella Twins from the WWE had their class reunion in Scottsdale where they're from and they all went and one of them even brought John Cena as a date. So some do at least. A lot of them go back to their schools just to visit teachers and whatnot or donate money or talk to the kids there even when it's not a special occasion so I would guess some also go back to their reunions. Might depend on how big your class/school was too. I mean if you knew pretty much everyone in your class you'd probably go back because there wouldn't be that many people asking for autographs and stuff if they all knew you all ready.
shareIn 1992 I worked with a girl whose husband moonlighted for a catering company in New Jersey.
He worked a class reunion, and Bruce Willis and Demi Moore showed up. It was Bruce's class reunion.
Demi was pregnant at the time with the third daughter. So yes, they do.
The question is does anyone go to their reunions. Seems pretty loserly to go a school reunion.
shareHey Ratcha,
I do not like the idea of picking on your comments in a mean spirited way, but I think your comment seems so mean spirited to me:
"The question is does anyone go to their reunions. Seems pretty loserly to go a school reunion."
It has been over 50 years since I graduated from high school. We held reunions every five years, and in all that time, I only missed two of my ten reunions. If I am a loser in some way, it certainly is not because I went to my class reunions. There were about 140 people in my class, and I knew perhaps three fourths of them very well.
Of those 140 classmates, there were about twenty with whom I started in pre-kindergarten class in our church, and to this day, I still have a very special feeling of kinship with them. My oldest memories are of my times with those special classmates. It simply boggles my mind how anyone can suggest I am a loser because I thoroughly enjoy attending a class reunion where I can once again enjoy the company of some very special people in my life.
It should also be noted my relationship with these classmates predates my relationship with my wife of 50 years, my two children, and my four grandchildren. Does that mean I value my classmates more than my family? No, I do not. My family is one kind of love to me, and my classmates are a different kind of love to me. They may be different than my family, but do not be mistaken, they are still a very special love to me.
I am now at an age when more of us are dying every year, and it is a real loss to me. It is also a reminder of my own mortality. If my appreciation for my classmates and seeing them at our class reunions makes me a loser, you can have winning - whatever that might be to you.
Best wishes,
Dave Wile
I have gone to all my reunions...but I grew up in a small town..80 seniors in my class..we all had parents/siblings still at home, so we got together a lot...still do..I have friends who went to large high schools who could care less..a matter of choice perhaps?..and yes, this movie was very similar to ones I attended...especially the 10th...lot of the artifice is lost by the 20th..
shareI think the reason he went was so that he could see that girl he liked again, the girl with the yellow shoes he made the song abt and I don't remember him being with anybody else the whole time
it even seemed like he decided to go in the last minute when he was telling someone over the fone when he was in the cab earlier
It is never about what happened, it is only how you look at it!
You're right. Pretty obvious. Don't know how people didn't get that
