The worst
This was the most disturbing movie I have ever seen. Who makes this stuff? Truly sick individuals if you ask me to think of this craziness, then put it on film. What parents would let their children be in a film like this?

Good to see that forum users continue to be mature and are able to see things from other people's point of view.
The internet keeps on improving my hope for the future.. Go internet-generation!

Are you saying the OP was mature enough to see things from other people's point of view?
He is been sarcastic. He is obviously trolling the OP, who dont know what open mind means. Dumb stupid(the OP).

shareYou definetly don't watch many horror movies if this one is the most disgusting you've ever seen...

I've got a big dog with me, and he bites!
D.H.F.F.
Far from the worst movie I've ever seen(Transformers anyone?) but disappointing.
If she's feral how come she has clothes? And you can't bite off someones finger, not thru the bone. Impossible.
That's a relief, Last!
shareFirst, she was raised in a clan of cannibals. She is quite aware of modern man. Also, all primitive people wore some form of clothes. You statement makes no sense. Furthermore, I can't count the number of incidents I have read of people biting off someone's finger in a fight. A bone as delicate as a finger bone could easily be snapped off by someone with powerful jaws who jerks their head. Third, bite me!
Law? WHERE'S THE LAW NOW!!??!!-Burt Reynolds; Deliverance.
You've seen way too damn many trash films if you think this one isn't that bad.

I gave the movie a positive rating, I've seen far worse. It's not a superlative work of art, but it was a story that engaged me and definitely made me wince. It takes a simple premise of a cookie cutter country family with gross secrets and plays it against an overriding theme of misogyny, with some disgusting abuse and gross finale. It's not an all-class example of the horror genre, but it's an okay movie.
Heh, specialagentscully, I am married to a beautiful sweetheart of a woman, we've been together 5 years, and I like this movie. My wife doesn't like it that much, she didn't mind the cannibal carnage, but really thought the misogynist violence was too much. This hasn't caused a riff in our relationship hihihi, I don't know why you fink no "real" woman would be with a man who liked this movie, it's not that serious.

You have only seen children's films if you think it is

I bought this DVD and watched it about 15 times in one week. I have never seen a more High Octane Woman Power movie in my entire life. I found it quite liberating. Also, if you found this movie disturbing, NEVER watch Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door, which is based on a real incident that happened to a girl in the early sixties. The Woman is a cartoon compared to the disturbing nature of The Girl Next Door. Also, Pollyanna McIntosh should have won an Oscar for her performance as the wild cannibal Woman.

Yes, it is very disturbing. Thats why it was a full 3-4 days later when I decided that I LOVED IT! LOL 8/10

This is a smart, independant regional horror movie with lots to say and excellent performances all round. It's a much better and artier movie than Offspring which it is a direct sequel to and the Woman character is played by the same actress. To say it's the worst makes me wonder how many movies you watch?
More please Lucky and Jack.
i doubt the children were put through anything bad. what they can achieve on camera doesnt have to have happened that way on set.
i thought this film was a very clever film. a screenplay that makes you think and grosses you out at the same time, its funny who our sympathies lie with at different stages of the film.
as for disturbing, yes a little but trust me there is a lot worse out there. I've turned a couple of films off after 20 mins. I guess you've only ever watched disney lol
Exactly. I told them to stay away from Ketchum's The Girl Next Door, which makes The Woman look like a cartoon in comparison.

so much "sophisticated" yadda yadda for nothing.
y'know, you really need to go back to school to learn how to spell properly before trying to express your judgmental ideas on the internetz. Re: propagating not propogating. genius
also, I met Lucky McKee last year and fyi there's absolutely nothing wrong with him.
He's probably the nicest guy you'll ever meet. All you need is to see him talk to realize he's a perfectly sincere and sane person.
This movie is very special because it covers a sensitive subject, but the violence in it is not more gruesome or hard to watch than what you'll see in 'Rush hour' -and if you think it is then you seriously need to expand you limited cinematic knowledge.
However, if you do have a problem watching this movie, then that just means that it touches a nerve in you. and that goes beyond the graphic content of it.
meaning you clearly have an issue dealing with your feminine side and female figures.

if you think this movie is disturbing then you really haven't seen enough movies. I admit it's not an easy movie to watch, but there are really worse films around. in this one you even get satisfaction when the father gets killed. some movies don't give you even that
sharewhich one should I watch? the Woman, human centipede, cannibal holocaust, ichi the killer, salo or a serbian film. Or should I just put my nuts in a vice? hmmm.
shareWatch Martyrs.
