Are they using FaceTime at one point and its meant to be 2009?
It wasn't around till 2010

They said it was Skype which was around at that point.
shareOp is right they did say facetime a few times... not sure when that came about. It definitely didn't take me out of the movie though.

Maybe they used both. I just remember a line in the movie when one girl said her "Skype was failing".
shareThe girl who wanted to stay in contact with her friend because she was scared was using Facetime on her iPhone. Minor discrepancy though. I still dug this movie.
