Started out good, and I didn't end up hating it

Spoiler warning!

I think this movie started out good. After having read some of the comments here, I was expecting something much worse - and I expected zombies.

But there were no zombies, at all. When they died they stayed dead. However... the only thing that bothered me was peoples reactions. Take the couple that arrived to the town at the end of the movie, for example. If it were you... arriving to a town full of dead bodies, would you keep going in to that town? I mean, I would be *beep* scared and just run back to my boat (can't call the cops since there were no signal). But they just... kept going in, not being scared of massmurdurer or anything. =_=

The girl on her iphone that documented from the hospital was too calm :S And both the scientists and the TV-reporter girl were awkward and insecure in front of the camera... which was weird. I mean sure, if she was an insecure reporter.. but did the scientists have to do the same thing =_= oh well.. It was an okay movie, and the camera shaking ain't that bad! (it's no cloverfield *beep*

Oh! The absolutely WORST part was when the insect jumped through the scientist's goggles.. under water.. =_= Would have been MUCH better and scarier if it ... I dunno, bit and crawled in through his mouth.

what do you guys think?

You are right. I have mixed feelings about it. I wanted to like it but in the end it was too boring and it couldn't find the best mix between found fotage, documentary and horrormovie.

the last scare got me really bad, although it was in the trailer.

Yeah husband said they were out of gas (good planning btw, arriving at your destination on fumes with young wife and child onboard) but any way, a sane person would figure a myriad number of ways to refuel and get the hell out of there.

I have a high tolerance for mediocrity when it comes to horror movies. This movie was simply awful. The acting was terrible, the camera work was atrocious, and the story and plot were extremely weak.
