This was the scariest movie I've seen. *spoilers*

I don't know why there seems to be so much hate for this film, other than IMDB is overrun with trolls and over-analyzers. I mean, there was a man with no tongue and he was still alive. And the house, I mean maybe those of you who didn't like this just can't be scared.

I was very impressed by this film, so yeah, I'm confused why there's so much hate for it. It was original, and did a very good job of using various forms of media to convey a sense of reality. Instead of appreciating that, I'm seeing nerds complaining about the accuracy of the technology in the film. I worry about those of you completely unaffected by the human suffering in The Bay, maybe you should seek mental help.

i watched it last night and really liked it.

but just because people might not have the same opinion on it as you does not mean they should seek "mental help".

that's quite rude.

Just saw it too. I really enjoyed it. I knew nothing of the movie except it was a found footage type. A friend recommended it and I too the advice. Glad I did. I can see people getting tired of these types of movies, but that's their opinion, so whatever.
I didn't get scared out of my witts or anything, but I found some scenes very intese. It was a great movie in my opinion. Once it started rolling, it never let up.

I did like the film, but I don't think it was terribly original. It was another shaky-cam found-footage entry.

The scene with the house did scare the crap out of me, same with the scene of the two teenagers on the dock.

reply

it wasnt terrible, but it wasnt really good either, the only scene i really enjoyed was the cop's murder-suicide. that was quite well done, and unexpected. i found the rest to be predictable.

reply

another found footage crap... fell asleep while watching and finished it today. There is no horror, nothing scary and the only good scene was the cop's murder-suicide.

reply

Agree with both of you.

reply

I thought it was great.

Terrifying in it's plausibility. Masterful in it's execution. The best founds footage movie after Cloverfield. Nobody ever says why it's bad, just that it is because it's found footage.
