I so loved this movie! It reminded me of a Nicholas Sparks type story. Betty White was great and her love story was wonderful. Glad I didn't see it in the theater so I wouldn't have been embarrassed by crying so loudly!

I loved this movie too. I don't know about the rest of you but I knew I was in trouble when I starting crying within the first 3 minutes! (and I didn't stop crying until 5 minutes after it ended!)
That was me exactly. I was trying to tell my coworker about it the next day and couldn't tell her because I was about to cry!
sharejust finished watching this and i'm choking up, betty white scenes are great, but what's even more amazing is how the actors playing she and her husban young had great chemistry, i too was crying within first 5mn of movie starting , the end when that song started playing aww man
this is exactly the kind of movie i needed to watch right now, it really gives you hope that no matter how short or long a time you have to be together being loved and loving someone is worth it

I didn't expect to cry so much during this movie but I did. I love hallmark Hall of Fame movies.

WE told our kids that a good movie was going to be on... they asked what it was about... at the time we weren't sure... something about a Valentine? didn't matter... it was a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie and all of those movies are good we told the kids. they didn't stick around for the whole thing, and they don't know what they missed!
shareI loved Betty White's performance. And I couldn't stop crying during the scene with the coffin. Plus I was crying during some of the commercials...Hallmark knows how to get you. Does anyone know if the movie will rebroadcast?

Me too...I thought it was going to be shallow and cheesy. There is something about WW2 and nostalgia that may be uniquely American. We're all sad about it 60 odd years later. Betty White was phenomenal. I consider myself something of a cynic and I haven't stopped crying. It was so well done.
