Only nitpick I have...


…is that the wound they gave Neil wouldn't have been fatal, and certainly not immediately.

He's shot in the upper right shoulder. There aren't any vital organs there, and the worst it might have done was shatter his shoulder blade. Fatal eventually, if the bleeding didn't stop and/or infection set in…but not in the minute and a half it takes in the movie for Neil to shuffle off this mortal coil.

All the filmmakers had to do was move the wound down and to the left a few inches, and it would have pierced his heart and right lung. That would have been fatal in the time they needed it to be. Not sure why they didn't go that route.

Oh well! It was still an enjoyable movie, and everyone involved did a very good job.

You are forgetting about arteries, that bleed quickly. Also, all we know for sure is that he died before the others returned, they could have "fast forwarded" for the sake of time. Obviously we do not want to see a man dieing for 10 minutes of screen time.
