Les Miserables should be adapted into a TV series

It's such an epic, sprawling book, that's really the way to do it. Big budget, HBO or maybe Netflix.

After the success of War and Peace, I believe the BBC said something about doing an adaption (minus the singing.)

Actually, it already was. THE FUGITIVE from the late 1950s, early 1960s, is based on LES MIZ.

The musical is not suitable for a series, but the version with Gerard Depardieu and John Malkovich
was a mini-series.

Hey, it was! It ran on PBS and it was excellent. Dominic West was great as Valjean.
