OK I've only seen season 4 and am watching season 5 right now on Netflix. But...am I too old (ok I'm 35) but I thought you had to be 18 to get a tattoo? The episode I'm on now (season 5 episode 7)...this kid is 14 with tats....WTF? ANd alot of previous ones the kids were 16 or 17 with tats. Or are these not "legal" tattoos? Please someone school me cause I have no idea..obviously! :)

shareYou have to be 18 in every state to legally get a tattoo, yes. But it's pretty common for people to get them done illegally if they're underage or just can't afford a professional one. It's usually a friend or relative that happens to have a tattoo gun and some know how. The end result probably won't be that good, but there you go.
shareI live in Ohio. To get a tattoo you have to be 18 OR have parents permission at 16, or any adult really they don't make you prove that's your parent. I think it varies by state.
