These kids must be humiliated when their show airs

I wonder how the kids survive the humiliation that likely occurs when their episode airs. Most junior high and high school kids define their existence by the acceptance of their peers.
There must be vicious taunting and bullying after a student with a reputation as a hard arse is seen on TV crying for his mama and giving his shoes away to the first prisoner who demands them.

The only ones that I would really be concerned about humiliating are the girls whose sex lives are addressed.
As long as it doesn't take over their lives, a little embarrassment might help keep them "straight." Some of these kids need help far beyond what a few hours in a jail can give them, though. Anger and grief and whatever "bad" feelings they may be having need to be brought up in counseling or something so they can learn how to handle those feelings instead of just acting up.

I've seen facebook posts where commenters are chewed out by friends, so I imagine the situation might be similar with peers. For some reason, maybe I'm just clueless about junior high and highschool dynamics, but unless they could have handled the adult prisoners better, I just can't see many students giving the kids a hard time about a lesson.
