"I don't want to brag, but I'm too smart for my own good." LMAO. Obviously you're getting caught, and your parents don't want you to end up in jail!

he said he could have stole 25k. but if he did get caught he would end up In the fed. but i just dont understand why his mom didnt take the computer away,( she said he needs to have control)
shareYeah, I was wondering why she didn't take it away from him either. If he needed it for studying, then he should only be allowed to use it under supervision until he can be trusted again.

the mom definitely should of taken the computer away!!! enough said!
Parents lacked any discipline
The mom said at the end that taking away the computer will not let him learn how to stop his addiction
- He is 13 take that ish away
They should put him at some computer camp so he could utilize his brain and do something good

He is not always going to be 13 and living at home with parents taking computers away. He will be in the world. He could even go to a public library and use a computer there to do the stuff he wants. The point that his mom makes saying he needs self control is actually very good. As far as I saw it, they still check up on his activities. In the end you get much much much better results if the person has self control and is able to decide to NOT to do something, than when you take that decision away.
If he would prove that he is not able to control himself, things will lead to him ending in jail. Or, dont know what this is called but saw it somewhere else, he will be restricted to get anywhere near a computer ever. And that would mean spending more money. Controlling people costs a lot more than teaching them so they control themselves.
And like a previous poster said, he could be a next Bill Gates. He could make something that is going to be very beneficial to the world, to society. Taking computers away now and never letting him be able to make the change will take that chance away.
I am just now seeing all these posts..WOW! And I can say I appreciate ALL of them, But I want to say thank you mandyvdoorn! I couldnt have said it any better myself!! That teaches no self control and he needed and still needs to learn how to function in society where things ARENT going to be taken away from him and answer to authority when need be!
THANK YOU AGAIN!
Respectfully,
HIS MOM
His case reminded me of that movie "Hackers" tbh. Bored kids doing stupid things, and the like. I do wonder about the program's success in getting through to him (and the others) though.
