Quite an informative documentary....
An eye-opening documentary focusing on homeless children (motel kids), growing up in Orange County--literally walking distance from Disneyland.
Very good piece, although I wish we could have heard more about the mothers, how they grew up, and if any of their choices impacted their current situations (although that's another topic altogether). I also wish the doc was a bit longer than an hour, including a few other complaints that I won't mention here.
I felt bad for many of the children, especially Cassidy. However, as the teacher of the 'Hope School' mentioned, half the kids will be secure some type of job in adulthood, while the remainder will end up involved involved in gang activity, crime, drugs, teenage pregnancy, or prostitution.
I'd like to see a follow up on these children, something similar to the updates of the children featured in the film 'Born into Brothels.'
More science, less fiction.
