While clearly in societal terms Andrew was the villain and Matt all fuzzy bunny and PC I always sided with Andrew. Maybe as a bullied teen I saw his powers as the ultimate tool to get back at abusers (including my father).

Running the redneck a-hole off the road was brilliant. But Steve and Matt had to make it all about "not hurting people". What if they deserve to be hurt or taken out of the gene pool?

The whole "Apex Predator" concept Andrew becomes enamored with is 100% correct. However, there cannot be only one to replace humanity. He would need to breed. But that would not be a guarantee to create more since he and the others were augmented by an alien source.

Yes he went completely mad at the end but that may have been due to injury and also the final confrontation with his father (whom he should have killed earlier and dissolved into dust so it seemed he just up and left).

Wonder if he could have healed his mother if he had applied his abilities to that task? NO doubt he could have... guess it just did not occur to him.

If he had done away with dad, healed mom, took out a few school antagonists, he'd have been on top. And if Matt would not shut up... well, he was stronger than Matt, right?
