Seeing as it's based on a book of the same name that was released in 2004, I highly doubt it.

I had never heard of this novela before but came across it recently on netflix and have been neglecting my reg. shows but that's okay because I am brushing up on my Spanish (at least that is what I keep telling myself). I definitely was hooked immediately.
