Filming in the US?

I read they wrapped in the UK but did they or will they be filming in the States? maybe Ashville or Montgomery? Please of anyone knows some info post it! Thanks

reply

I think they filmed it all in the UK, and they doubled Manchester and Liverpool for New York and another location in England doubled for Florida.

It would make sense filming in the UK since most of the actors are British and they most likely reside there most of the time.... Law, Firth, Pearce, West, etc. Although I have no way of knowing that, but it would make sense

Pearce is Australian and he lives in Australia. I think they filmed in the UK because they have more buildings and locations that suit the time period.

lol first of all he was born and raised in Cambridgeshire England, mother British, father was from New Zealand (not Australia), even if his father was from Australia he'd still be British not Australian. But alas, the father is a New Zealander so discussing this is pointless

reply

Meh, he was raised in Australia, not England, having left England at the age of 3, so hardly raised there. He lives in Australia, not England.

That's interesting to know... so if I have a Russian mother and an Irish father, and I was born in Japan, I can take a boat to Africa and as soon as I touch African soil I become African? If not, how long am I required to stand on African soil to become African? I'd like to know this "period of residence" that is required to become a native of a different country. Apparently it's the same situation when someone from England and New Zealand have a child, and then at some point move elsewhere, that means they're natives of the country they moved to, right? Just stop dude....

Nice way to completely ignore the fact that he grew up in Australia, despite you saying he was raised in England. Besides, he has both British and Australian citizenship. Next time, do your research ... dude ...

reply

I made a post about British actors, he's BRITISH-AUSTRALIAN which means that my comment was correct, then you say "No, he's not British he's Australian", which is INCORRECT.. ironically, if you don't believe me "Next time, do your research .... dude..." Look it up: "Nationality: British and Australian". If anything you should have clarified something we already knew and said "Yes he's British, but he also has citizenship in Australia" which would be slightly less pointless than what you originally posted, but still completely pointless. Unless you follow him around and calculate the percentage of time he spends in either country (which you'll probably never see/meet him in real life anyway) then quit wasting your time trying to argue with random strangers on the internet especially when you're 100% wrong

Yes, as the credits state, it was filmed entirely in the UK. There's a "California Unit" credited, for the scenes with Fitzgerald, but there's only a brief outdoor shot, which could have been a still. The scenes supposedly in New York don't even try to look like NY, except for some mattes or CGI and the last straw was steam-powered British locomotives and British rail cars leaving and arriving at Grand Central!
