In the opening part Max is editing text that is clearly printed on the computer printer, not a typewriter.

That's a gallery proof, done by a typesetter. It is not a typewritten manuscript.

Hilarious- you honestly thought your 'observation' to be correct- rather than reaching the infinitely more obvious conclusion that your were mistaken in every one of your assumptions. Obviously a product of modern education where the idea that everyone is entitled to an opinion is laughable confused with 'every opinion carries equal weight'.
