If relatively unknown but superb actors made this movie, the rating on IMDB would have been very much lower. I wanted to like this movie because I appreciate the acting ability of the stars, but it's a long, boring, and uninteresting story. Having the most stellar cast doesn't make this story any more interesting.
shareActually the 'stellar' cast made things worse, with their clear lack of on-screen chemistry, and terrible mis-casting against the types of the real people, and the horrible over-acting of Law as he desperately tries to inject some life into his role (and makes it worse by doing so).
This was just a poor example of Oscar-bait film-making gone wrong- where a powerful producer can get well known actors to work for a pittance. However a better DIRECTOR would have made a much more interesting movie with the same cast and script.
