Did anyone CARE when.... (SPOILER)

...that insufferable windbag egotist dropped DEAD??

Jesus f-ing CHRIST, I wanted him to just shut the f$%k up and go away around his second scene!!!

I think the problem for me was, I'm not familiar with Mr. Wolfe's actual writing....whereas if I had been, that might have given me some affection for the character, via sentimental attachments to his work. (I know Look Homeward, Angel was a respected play in its day with a very distinguished cast -- the brilliant Jo Van Fleet got raves -- but is the work ever even revived any more?)

well, it was made into a musical some years after it opened on Broadway, and was also a TV movie. It was done in New York I know in 2002 and 2013 it was revived in New York and also done in Los Angeles - so yes, the answer is, it is revived pretty often. It's a Pulitzer Prize winning play and also an Olivier award-winning play.

I felt bad because despite his ego he was a brilliant man with a profound outlook on life. I am nor familiar with his work either, but I find him fascinating. It was terrible that he ended up with tuberculosis of the brain.
