Recycling Same OLD actors!

Why does Working Title/Bevan/Fellner continue to use stale old actors for their films?

There are so many good actors out there!

What?

Stale old actors?

You are a joke.

you must be kidding. jude, colin, nicole three of the most talented people on film today. they are working because you can bet they will always turn in solid performances.

reply

They're,all great actors (Kidman, Firth, Law, Linney, and West).

You clearly don't know what the hell you're talking about.

reply

I search for films with these actors in them. How old are you 12? Go watch some Cinderella.

reply

That's how they get their films financed -- with "AA List" names.

reply

Because they are GOOD and turn in solid performances! Are you only looking for MILLENNIAL actors? When I see great MILLENNIAL actors, I will watch them.

reply

Not only are they good, they are BRILLIANT! The performances in Genius are amazing and Jude Law especially stretched his acting muscles very well. I never saw him so extroverted, and I thoroughly enjoyed his portrayal of Wolfe. A great film in every way.

reply

You must be a Yank. As a Brit I can promise you the performances from these actors were career worst- not surprising given how these Brit movies are made and how little the 'famous' talent gets paid for appearing in them.

You think Brit star power guarantees a 'good' movie- that's so funny. Go watch Dad's Army 2016 (with star power coming out of its backside), and then tell me how sticking loads of talented Brit actors in a cynical movie makes it 'superior'.

reply

To get as many bums in seats, why else?

reply

The old trick of "high art" (hahahahahahahahaha) Brit movies- and the idiots financing and producing these movies don't get what a mistake this is. Fresh faces (or better casting to the original personalities) would have improved the film somewhat.

Want to see this at its VERY worst? Go try to watch the recent remake movie "Dad's Army". Lo-rent so-called 'comedy' with the kinda stellar cast no American film could ever imagine (using equivalent US star power). And as a consequence, the movie was an utter humiliation for all involved.

reply

I think they are top actors; each giving a fantastic performance and giving the audience a glimpse inside the mind of a literary great.
