How many episodes

I'm recording this from the Audience Channel on DirectTV and they don't say which episode is which in the descriptions. I know that Wikipedia and IMDB list is as seven episodes but they often repackage them. So far I've recorded eight episode. I've only watched the first few so far but I can't tell when I'll have all the episodes. The descriptions on all eight so far are different but as I said, they don't say which is which, not even which is the pilot, though I'm assuming the one that starts with the two constables going over the car is the first.
Any clues as to how many they've bundled it as now?

I bought DVD and it had 7 episodes. Now it is being aired for the first time in my country and apparently it has 8 episodes. So far four episodes have been out.

I expected maybe deleted scenes(in DVD features) are included in 8 episodes version, but it simply seems these two versions are cut in different sections.

I must say, the DVD 7 episodes version were very much perfect as each episodes has some breath taking/frightening moments as the ending of the episodes.

I have the feeling that seven was the right version and they had to re-cut into 8 for some reasons. 8 episodes versions do not end at the best point of the whole story.

I hope, if there will be DVD with subtitles fro local language, this should be 7 episodes version. In my opinion, it is much better.
