Hey, since this show ended can anyone give an honest opinion is it worth watching all five seasons or only a few seasons?
shareFirst season is worth it, after that it is only a western soap with events thrown into the mix when drama is needed, but without any strategy. Works as silly entertainment, but if you don't want to switch off your brain, it can be an annoyingly stupid experience.
shareHere's my warning if you're a completist season one sets up an interesting premise that it completely abandons. Starts out fairly realistic in terms of a persons mortality in terms of injuries that goes away at least for one character. Don't get invested in the characters personal lives as nothing really pays off in my opinion. If you're really that interested in the fictitious story of the transcontinental railroad it might hold your interest.
I am a completist if I get past season two usually; I wish I had given up on this in season three. This may be completely unfair but I assume this show's IMDB rating is inflated by people that rated based on season one and never took the time to re-rate the show after it went downhill.
Thank you , i mostly buy the whole set and watch the whole series in one go but if a show goes downhill supposedly after season 4 i then buy it till season 4. Had one bad experience with prison break i wish i hadnt watched season 4. I have left sons of anarchy after season 4 and sometimes i feel like watching it but i know they all die and i dont want them to die.

shareThought it was reasonable in seasons 1-4. There were some logic problems/lazy writing in season 5, but not horrible.

shareFirst season is really good after that it gradually goes down hill. By the last season I stopped watching after the season break as what the story had become pretty much ended.
I am trying to avoid spoilers here which explains why I am being a little vague.
All 5 seasons average 8+ on IMDb. There are only 4 episodes less than 8, all in season 1!
