This is the best animated Superman effort... I don't know, ever? I really love it. The animation is awesome, the story is great, and the music gets really close to John Williams. Highly recommended.

It would have worked better as an animated miniseries than as a movie, especially with the whole segments of Samson, Atlas, and those Kryptonians felt like last minute story additions that didn't transition well, especially for a film about a dying Superman. Yeah, I know they were in the comic's storyline, but as a film, it felt like a distraction from the writer's obscure plotholes ( a skeletonized Metallo pumping iron? ) or Superman's new powers are barely explained. I only liked how it began, and how it ended, but the middle was almost like rushed filler. I hope for an adaptation of Red Son, because that has a chance of being a better movie than All-Star.
