It would have worked better as an animated miniseries than as a movie, especially with the whole segments of Samson, Atlas, and those Kryptonians felt like last minute story additions that didn't transition well, especially for a film about a dying Superman. Yeah, I know they were in the comic's storyline, but as a film, it felt like a distraction from the writer's obscure plotholes ( a skeletonized Metallo pumping iron? ) or Superman's new powers are barely explained. I only liked how it began, and how it ended, but the middle was almost like rushed filler. I hope for an adaptation of Red Son, because that has a chance of being a better movie than All-Star.
