This is very sad. I enjoyed his work for years on Justice League. My children are big fans of Ben 10 as well.
From the interviews I saw, he seemed like a quiet, decent, and intelligent man. My condolences to his family.
According to the reports that I've read, Mr. McDuffie passed away Monday evening. He will be missed. Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

Very sad!
They said it was due to complications of a surgical procedure of some kind though? But man, right after his All-Star Superman press junket this happens, and just a mere 24 hours shy after his own birthday even. Life can be really cruel, my condolences go out to his family and friends.

Badass and proud of it! http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss226/TK-Hyperlite/Ava19.png
This is very sad news, but I'm inclined, in a way, to say "Good for him." because he passed just as the hype for his last film, "All Star Superman" was reaching it's climax, just as was about to be released to the public. Reviews for the film have been extraordinary, many I've read saying it's the best of any of the DC animated films. He died on top, and, I'd like to imagine, happy and proud of his work, which is a luxury so few people in life are afforded. So while his loss is a tragic one indeed, and he no-doubt had so much more in store for us, for his sake, I say "good for him".
sharetruly saddening news.
but he will live on, in the work he has provided us with
And here's the movie, about Superman achieving his greatest works and dying.
