I've never heard of this one until I heard about the remake. I LOVE the American version and HATE that it got canceled after only one season (13 episodes). I wanted to see what would happen! Curious to see the french version.

Its actually Catalan! I think it has a very different tone to the American one I think but please give it a try. Its really worth it. Saying that most of the episodes reliably made me cry haha so be prepared!

I saw original a while back, heard remake was shot lol So wont be watching that. I really hope they do a season 3 one day :)

I couldn't agree with you more. This original version is flat out amazing. Some absolutely *stunning* acting from a truly talented group of young actors.

It is MUCH more heavy on the drama -- no "Glee" moments like the U.S. version unwisely went with the Kara character.

Random thoughts:

I would trade Toni for Dash any day.

Season 2 gets really really tough to watch.

Steven Spielberg reportedly watched this version and cried -- so why did they reduce the drama level by about 65% for the U.S. Version?

Anyone who is a fan of the U.S. version (which I didn't hate, btw) NEEDS to see this version. If only the U.S. had followed the story more closely, it would still be on the air.

Catalan Version: A+
