I saw this on Friday night and I stepped out to get a refill of my soda.

It was the scene in a motel room. I forgot what they started talking about. But it was sweet and it was nice. Then I came back and Joyce (Streisand) is yelling at Andy about something. I assumed he admitted he went to UCLA to get away from her, which he reveals later that he went specifically for their science program.

She was saying stuff like she was hurt that he tried to get away from her, and then went to the scene where she was drinking at the bar being assaulted by the trucker.

"What happened to my sweet girl?"
"SHE'S GONE!"

I don't remember any sweet or nice in that motel room scene. He was very angry after the Costco meeting and was drinking from the minibar and eventually told her to shut up and yelled at her for a while. Then she lost it and called him a *beep* and said she didn't know what she'd ever done wrong, said she's not stupid and she knows he went to school in CA so he'd only have to see her once a year. Said he didn't have to see her or like her but she would be treated with respect and walked out.

it wuz actually a real awkward scene bec of severe tonal shiftz. he yelled at his mum bec she talked durin costco meetin so his mum yelled back at him 4 alwayz tryin 2 get away from her includin why he went 2 ucla (his mum think bec he wanted 2 get away from her) but then he later sed bec dat wuz best science skool. da bar scene wuz so she cud unwind and wuznt really necessary other than da punch in da face laff bit
