my bliptv review of this movie One of the Worst of 2012

I don't know if I would say it was one of the worst of 2012....I definitely think its not the best but it wasn't bad.

I think one of the problems with this film is how it was promoted...Paramount made this film look like it was a big comedy...and it wasn't. Yes there were some comedic moments but it was a lot more laid back then it looks. I did laugh a few times but I found most of it to be dry in the sense of comedy and storyline. I think it would of been better if they encountered more problems on their trip other than the car having an almost flat tire.
Also I did like the point you made about the preview, they made it look like he was guilted into taking his Mom along when really he had an agenda behind the offer.....so really it was an Agenda Trip.

I wouldn't say Seth was TERRIBLE but he wasn't at his best...but I think that's mainly because of how his character was written...he was funny here and there but not the best for sure.

I would give this film 5/10 because of how the relationship between Joyce and Andy was believable to me. I took my Mom to this movie because she really wanted to see it and I found the Mother/Son relationship in this film similar to the one I have with my mom. My Mom can be nagging sometimes and at times I get over annoyed with her while taking her for granted at times....but the only difference is my Mom doesn't lick her fingers and then fix my hair lol.
