Why would anyone choose this over This Is 40?

I intend to see This Is 40 ... I think.
But today we were watching trailers and TI40 did not seem as good as TGT.
The reason is that the jokes in the TI40 trailer were kind of trite and predictable,
where the whole theme of TGT of mother-son was more universal and much less
done. You see a lot of Father-Son movies, but there are very few movies that have
the guts to take on mother-son.

I really enjoyed this, so much so that I am not looking forward so much to
TI40 even though I enjoy Paul Rudd. I think the writing will be smarter and
more intelligent on TGT. Just my opinion. Not need to insult anyone for disagreeing
with you. It sounds like you have not seem both movies so it's a bit silly anyway
to do.

we saw this movie as a family over the weekend, i thought it was funny but also would've rather seen this is 40. there was an 11 year old boy though with us who i don't think should be watching this is 40! :P

Because Leslie Mann's voice is so damn annoying...
Give me Babs and Seth over Leslie and Paul any day.

I've seen both, Guilt Trip is more of an actual comedy that has funny moments that can actually happen. This is 40 is more of a horrible drama film where there's random jokes. This movie also didn't have gross out comedy and was a funny one that didn't revolve around sex.
