When watching the film it reminded me of my own mother with the well meaning but overprotective and nagging behavior.

shareVery much. My mother passed away this past January, at the age of 59, so my dad and I watched this together. We made a drinking game out of it: drink every time she reminded us of mom.

Yes! The part where she says something about "call your cousing Lowell, he has tuberculosis, it's around now" sounded JUST like something my mom would say. The whole character and the relationship with the son was very similar to me & my mom's relationship. My mom even eats candy in bed too.
