His sister. Andy Margolis named his daughter after Joyce Brewster, just as she had named her son after him. This knowledge led her to realize that she meant as much to him as he did to her.

Most people are so ungrateful to be alive, but not you. Not anymore.

I'll admit it was quite quick. I was glad I caught it to know the special twist at the end.

"What happened to my sweet girl?"
"SHE'S GONE!"

Yeah, that was really cute.
This was a nice movie.
Maybe I'm getting into my old fogey era, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Oh.... I thought it was his wife. You know, as if they were saying Joyce Brewster and Andy Margolis were meant to be together so much that Andy's son dated a girl named Joyce.

Just saw the movie, it was a sister. Remember the phone call Andy made to locate him? It was established that Joyce's first love was not married. Really enjoyed the movie, I see Seth R and Barbara S. we're co-producers as well as actors. Kudos.

I knew as the sister walked in that her name would be Joyce. That was sweet and touching.

wow, that was the best part of the movie, and the major turning point. To have to ask this question and not understand what was happening, you really missed a lot.

happens to me all the time; I have to see movies multiple times. I just saw Cirque du Soliel's "Ka" in Las Vegas and my family had to explain all the major plot points to me afterwards.

Remember the phone call Andy made to locate him? It was established that Joyce's first love was not married.

We are led to believe that it was the father who was never married, when in fact the receptionist was talking about his son who took over the firm. The father had passed away and his widow was living in FL.

i think it was clear he said it was his sister but i was too busy watching seths reaction to her and thinking they were going to hook up that i didnt notice her name being the same

That touch was so feel good. I too thought that Seth's Andy had finally met someone that he liked or something, but then it hit me. O boy, it was so subtle and both Seth & Streisand's expressions said it all. I'm glad I watched this movie. Most movie twists r usually quite childish, someone opens the door and then his/her spouse calls from inside. Well done.
