Nice to see a normal, real movie for a change.

Makes me remember the 80s and 90s ... just good acting, funny, sweet story. If you all liked this, don't miss Midnight in Paris as well.

True, that!

I'm not heavily into good sweet stories but I found this one so endearing I bought the DVD.

reply

Yeah, this one is genuinely sweet and funny, I'll be buying the DVD soon too!

Wasn't a great film but nice to see a major contemporary film that doesn't aim low in terms of class and/or humor.

had i known what it was about i probably would have skipped it. seth rogen/streisand as a combo intrigued me and i'm glad i watched this. however something really terrific needs to come along to convince me to watch another owen wilson movie. i'd rather eat my own eyeballs. thanks for the tip, though. :D

Have you seen The Big Year?

I generally don't go for Owen Wilson movies, but he fit the part he played in that movie. And, IMHO, the other actors were great, Steve Martin, Rishida Jones, Jack Black and Brian Dennehy. For those who DO like Owen Wilson, I'm not saying I particularly dislike him, I just don't tend toward his movies. I didn't mind him in Armageddon either.
