I'm referring to the corrupt minions piling their way to Gru as they chase him. It reminded me of the ill infected humans in WWZ. The writers for both films are not the same, and the production companies for both are not the same. Did the writers for DM2 know about World War Z before it was advertised, or is that purple minion scene just coincidentally similar?
Having previously been in the business (almost ten years ago now) I STILL get advanced screeners of blockbuster movies well in advance of the release, from various studios. It's really all about who you know. He!!, when I did work at Fox there were exec's that would get complete DVD movies in the DVD case with cover art with all the bonus features like Harry Potter (Warner Bros) 6 months in advance.
Just because a studio claims they 'just finished' a movie weeks before it's release date doesn't make it so. It used to take a while to print all those reels of film. Nowadays everything is stored on HDD's.
Do you think they're cognizant of how bad they got it? Lets hope not, poor b@stards
Grats on being French. From a quick google search the original trailer for WWZ was aired on Nov 9th, 2012. Plenty of time to get those scenes blocked, animated, etc.

Same thing happened to me. Yesterday I saw WWZ and today this, when I saw it I told my friend, "Hey, just like WWZ". Don't think it was a coincidence, it was too alike.
That whole scene where they were shooting the minions with the red jelly looked like blood and as they were streaming up the castle made it seem like a spoof to me.
