He tells the minions to get a cupcake recipe he found online and one of them beings them a cupcake with a decorated minion on top. But why did he need cupcakes?? Also macho ordered cupcakes for his party but did he ever get them? And while were on the cupcake shop..who owns it??
shareI also have a string of other questions like what happened to machos son at the end? And why did there seem to be way more minions turned rabbid at machos than at Gru's place? Did the girls ever find out that gru used them in the first movie just to steal the shrink ray?
shareThis movie is a fail from start to finish with plot holes bigger than a jumbo sized swiss cheese. My recommendation is to use ur energy on something way better than wasting it on this boring plot hole fest.

The cupcake shop was a cover for why he was at the mall. There were cupcakes with the Mexican flag in them at the cinco de Mayo party so he clearly got some, but by then Gru was not under cover any more, so he must have got them elsewhere. It is never clear where the minions come from or how many there are, but there are lots of them.
