Country of production?
Despite being a Universal film and Illumination Entertainment being a US company, why is almost everyone in the credits French? (or at least appear it from their names)
Just interested to know
It was produced in France, by the Universal/Illumination-acquired Mac Guff animation/visual effects studio. Pierre Coffin, based in France, was a co-director.
Voila! Half the credits are French because half the work on the film was done in France :)
