I absolutely hated it the first time around but it inspired me to reread the books. After, I watched it again amd even though I think it could have been better, I liked it more the second time around. You just have to ignkre

You just have to ignore a lot of the attempts at humor where they were obviously trying too hard.

I'm at 11 minutes and I'm tempted to stop, come on...they spend 30 million dollars on this? They edited the fight scenes so poorly.

Nope. Don't even try it. Because that little bit of exposition you saw at the beginning. Thats ALL they give as an explanation of their world. Which actually makes the film way more confusing than I ever thought it would be. They throw the mythology of their world at the audience WITH 2 action scenes in UNDER 10 MINUTES! How is that a well told story?

Those 10 minutes alone, were dumb. The way Dimitri makes Rose go flying was completely laughable and the fact that they didn't properly portray the effects of being fed on made for sheer convenience.

I would always rather be happy than dignified.

Its got some interesting stuff like magic, but that's just it. I'm not a fan of it.
