Just watched this after reading the House of Night books.......wonder who stole from whom?

Pleeease!!!! yessss those books I love it because they are awsome. and please don't make the same mistake that you gays did with vampire academy!!! this incredibly bunch of book are realy,realy great!!!! Make a movie a good one!!!

I would say they were both inspired by the same source material.  I guess their research took them down the same path, or a parallel path, as the case may be.

I disagree, though. Richelle had look up mythology about Strigoi and Moroi and P.C. seems to have gotten her research from Greek and Cherokee mythology, among other things. Nothing in common except teenage vampires, a boarding school for teaching and the said vampires having elemental magic. (Characters having elemental powers is quite common too, look at Vampire Knight and Alice Academy.)

I haven't read the books in either series, so I can't really say how much is similar and how much isn't. I was only going by information I found on Google. And that info made it seem like they had more in common than not. 
