In my personal opinion, this movie sucked because the characters sucked. Yes, the pacing was off, the characters seemed changed, but there was very little character development. And even less developement of the relationships within. If there was there was ever a movie that needed to be remade,...this is one.

Man, was this movie bad filled with obnoxious characters. It seemed everyone was always talking loud. Whew, what a stinker.
shareI would have got rid of ALL the pointless filler scenes, changed the dialogue and cut out the stupid jokes. I would have also kept Lissa's problems she had in the book and I would have toned down Natalie's geekyness since it was too over the top.
shareThe jokes are actually what made the book even more awesome. But it sounded better when I read it. I think it's more the delivery of the actors, bad acting and the movie had horrible pacing.
shareI don't remember the jokes sounding so cringe-worthy in the book. Boobies was never said in the book and neither was the idea of Lissa being into Hot Topic.
