If you are trying to make a tv show based on the book series, please do things right this time. Obviously the "teen comdey" treatment did not work with the film, so not it's time to do the opposite and make it darker, serious and suspenseful. Learn what other tv shows of the same genre have done such as (Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Supernatural) those shows do have some comedic moments but what really drives them is the dark tones, suspense and cliffhangers. From both the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series, you have more than enough source material for a good solid 8 season, or more, TV show. And please get a good director and screen writer.
