Can't enjoy movies for what they are..... AND, don't want anyone else to either.

If you didn't read the books then you wouldn't understand how horrible they made it compared to what it could have been with better directing

I haven't read the first book since 2011 and the movie still stunk as a stand alone.

Just accept it, already. The movie was horrible as a movie and a adaptation.

I would always rather be happy than dignified. 

Nobody said it couldn't be enjoyed, It still doesn't make it a decent movie, though.

 Yes, that is your opinion but facts are facts. If the movie is so decent, how come they've struggled (and failed, so far) to make more?

I would always rather be happy than dignified. 

There have been countless numbers of decent and yes, even great movies that have failed epically!

Loved the books and honestly enjoyed the movie.

It wasn't the greatest movie I've ever seen but it was highly entertaining.

My only complaint is that Dimitri looked like he was 35+

I never read the books and didn't enjoy this movie. so it isn't just book snobs.
