This movie is a joke for me!!!

With a tag line like "they really suck at school" or "Based on the best selling novel" you could tell that there was no real heart to the movie - the studio was just capitalizing on the YA book to movie fad. And they clearly didn't know who their audience was.


I don't think it was a horrible movie but that might be because I went in with super low expectations. It falls into the entertainingly bad category with The Mortal Instruments.

If you want to see beating the hell out of your source material you should look at what they did to Jem. I know some people liked it but they took a really cool character/concept and turned it into Justin Beiber meets Hannah Montanna. (It was a completely different story where they just took a discarded script and slapped Jem's name on it hoping to appeal to 80s nostalgia) The show came out a few years before I was born but I used to watch reruns on Saturday mornings... when my brothers weren't watching their cartoons


Side note: It looks really fake in the movie but I'm still disturbed by the scene where Rose breaks her leg. I get squeemmish just thinking about it.

Vampire Academy is my favorite book. every part is amazing. for me Rose was amazing strong young woman and Dimitri was a picture of a perfect man. He was beautiful, strong and simply amazing, and no ofence actor that plays him is complete fail (I FELL LIKE HE DIDNT EVEN READ THE BOOKS SO HE COULDENT LIVE UP TO EXPECTATIONS and also he isnt handsome at all). It seems to me like they made jokes out of this book in fact they had to many corny jokes and rose is utterly annoying.When i heard that they were making movie I was excited but this movie has ruined my favourite books for me, but I learned not to watch movies based on books that I love.
