Thanks to someone else who brought this to my attention on a couple of other movies....it's hard to take a high score like this serious, when every review is written by someone with a weird name..and it's their only post.
I understand if the makers of the film are proud of what they've done...but give us all a break. Let your viewers decide. I'd like to still trust what I read in here.
Well, I've see it, twice. And I'd see it again. And I wrote a review for the movie, but its not my only post. My only review yes, but not my only post.
Its a fun little grindhouse type movie. Made in just 12 days, as many grindhouse movies were, I was lucky enough to be on the set for the last day of filming. To watch Michael work was a sight to behold. I had attended a workshop he had done for aspiring actors a couple of years ago and told him then that he would be a great director.
No, its not meant to be the next big Oscar winner, although it would be nice, but its fun to watch.

shareWas at Scare Fest IV this weekend and met Michael Biehn and Jennifer Blanc-Biehn and they were BOTH very nice an good people. The problem is you have them screening this movie at horror cons and festivals with VERY passionate fans (like me) that have come to check out the films imdb page and board. At The Victim Q & A they told fans NOT to go on imdb and give it high scores because it wont count them. IF you liked the movie and IF you wanted to rate or review the movie they encouraged people to be honest and reasonable about it. So if you are implying that the ratings and/or reviews are "fixed" I really don't think that is the case. It's the passionate fans writing the reviews NOT the filmmakers.
And I hope my imdb user name that I have had for the past 9 years is not to weird for 'ya!
I seen it just tonight and found it solid enough. No masterpiece but a not bad at all genre flick and I'd like to see Michael Biehn behind the camera more, after seeing this, as it was a decent enough effort.

I was about to post the same thing. I just find it hard to beleive all those reviewers would give it such a high score. These reviews/scores are clearly planted.

There's nothing clear about it. Is there some abuse on IMDB? Sure, but it's not nearly the phenomenon one would think reading childish posts from people that think every movie that they didn't like has planted reviews. Here's a news flash, kids. Sometimes, your opinion isn't represented by every person. It is possible that other people like movies that you do not, and vice versa. The sooner people come to that realization, the sooner we can start having discussions about movies like adults. This is one of the worst things I see on IMDB. People that constantly accuse every single movie of having planted reviews do MUCH more harm to the IMDB experience than the actual planted reviews that exist in fractions.

Ending was the best thing about the movie. Also demonstrated what a talented actor Michael Biehn is.
Rest of the film was very slow, very lame at times and the dialogue seemed quite uninspired. Still intesting to watch though keeping in mind that it was shot on very little budget and that lead role, director and writer are all the same person.

If you like B movies and Michael Biehn I would say give this a watch, if you don't know who he is and get bored quickly without buckets of blood then pass it by. Its not an award winner, but a good film for his fans.
I wouldn't be too sure about the reviews being fake either. Micheal Biehn has a decent cult following. There isn't much I don't like about him and I highly doubt he's writing fake reviews for himself on IMDB, get real. He is becoming a icon of the subgenre, Grindhouse.
This was screened at Frightfest which would coincide with the reviews. Like someone else already said, people have different opinions and people who seek movies like this out at Frightfest are more then likely going to give it good reviews because it delivers to its fans.

This film has a 10/100 on meta. that is one star out of ten the lowest possible rating!
they arnt shills just very passionate fans. you are allways going to get reviews like that with actors that have large fan bases, especially somebody with a cult following like Michael Biehn. It balances it self out anyway, it not a 10/10 movie but its not a 1/10 either.

I'm likewise skeptical when I see that a total of 19 reviewers have given a 9-10 score, and that there's 1 "glowing" review of a film...
It balances out in time on IMDB, however, I have been surprised, on occasion @ a few flicks that pushed a boundary, or kept me entertained. Let's face it - I don't watch a thriller/horror because I like death and carnage -- I want to be thrilled for 80-90 minutes...
I'm taking a chance on the film, seeing as I LOVED Biehn in the last film I saw him in (another "indie" post-apocalyptic/nuclear flick. It wasn't the greatest of all "cold/hard war" or "apocalyptic" films, but there was entertainment there. Perhaps even moments of ingenuity, and originality.
I give these low-budget horror/thriller films a chance, because once in a while I'm disturbed, or surprised, and - let's face it - creative minds develop icons within the genre. Consider the 80's...
If it's a cruddy film, I'll voice it on this board. I'm NetFlixing it nao.
