Did they really shoot the dog?
The reason I ask is after they shoot the dog, you can hear the dog whining scratching at the bullet wound. Sounded very real to me. Most films would have the shot and silence after.

no, of course they didn't.

The dead kangaroos came back to life.
shareAs has already been established in countless other threads (if you'd bothered to check first), for purposes of realism the dog, 'Lucky', was indeed shot during the making of the film and passed away a few days later due to lead poisoning. To overcome complications in Australian law and mitigate protest from animal rights groups, Lucky's remains were transferred to a nearby anaerobic digestion plant and a plaque was erected in his memory at the state parliament. Case closed.

You're a fuvking moron.
shareYes they did in fact shoot the dog, just for you. But this scene was too gruesome to show, so they decided to cut it out in the edit process.
shareThe responses to this question were absolutely hilarious.
shareSeriously?
No.
Oh yes, as an Australian I can attest first hand that we don't give a crap about animals, least of all dogs, and will just pop pop them fury bitches whenever the chance permits.
