Toned down love triangle (spoilers)

OK so I know that they focused a romance between the two Bergens Bridget and the King
But what about the trolls? By trolls I mean Creek poppy and branch. There are some telltale signs that Poppy probably had a crush on Creek. Branch however was the most obvious because he expressed a lot of awkward and tender emotions towards Poppy. These Emotions are made very clear during that Rollerblading and pizza scene and then of course the infamous true colors scene. After the true color scenes, it's very clear the poppy and branch really didn't belong together not just as friends but it's something more I'm just glad they didn't make it so lovey-dovey. Also creek was a jerk anyways. Lol. This was a fun movie to watch.

Oh? That's interesting. I saw Creek as more of an admired mentor type. I thought he was much older. The thing with Branch didn't start to develop until towards the latter part of the story and I loved the look of surprise in Poppy's eyes when Branch sang that line in True Colors. She didn't seem to object!

I definitely noticed that too. Poppy smiled at Creek a lot and was most upset about Creek being taken when she was telling Branch about it. And on the way to Bergentown when she was saying goodnight to her friends' pictures, she said goodnight to Creek with a flirty voice and touched his picture. I think having one love story was probably enough though for a kids movie so the troll romance was made subtle.
