Got it, watched it, loved it, but everyone thinks it's terrible....lol...and they must be right because it was cancelled. First the gates, now this...I just can't keep the shows I fall inlove with on air. I was so looking forward to SPOILER............ Morgan's baby.

Yes and I'm sure Jesus being crucified in a movie is a spoiler as well.

As a matter of fact, yes, to people who don't know the story, and believe it or not, there are some people in the world who do not. According to christian belief, once everyone on the planet has heard to gospel of Christ, the wrath will soon follow....I don't see naked Christians floating to heaven, so I would have to conclude that Jesus being crucified in the movie or book is indeed a spoiler...and I had never seen a version where morgana sleeps with Arthur to have his baby....that's an original idea for this version I believe...again proving my point.....SPOILER.

It is perfectly understandable that this was news to you, but just for the record, Morgan sleeping with Arthur was made popular on film by John Boorman with Excalibur and in literature by Marion Zimmer Bradley in The Mists of Avalon, both in the 80s. However, before that, it used to be Morgause (Morgan's sister), in the latest and better-known versions of the medieval legends. Many people have gotten so used to seeing Morgan as the mother of Mordred they think it's the only or "true" version of the story. So the series was far from creative here, but they weren't keeping true to any medieval source-text either (and certainly not Malory).

Thanks, pol-edra, It was really news to me ( and may be to others )....I saw the 80's version with the pig nosed bride ( that's Excalibur right? ), but I don't remember Morgan sleeping with Arthur ( but I was about 8 years old then, so my memory is expected to be shot by now )to get pregnant, nor in the version where Sean Connery was Arthur either ( even though this is newer, I don't really remember anything from it but Arthur's death). But, again I appreciate your understanding and further emphasizing that my spoiler was valid....lol

It was a spoiler to me!
I haven't seen or read enough about Arthur to know that this was common.

And it is no longer available instantly. Only on disc. :(
