So who are Arthur and Morgans parents again?

Ok, so Uther Pendragon and Igraine are Arthur's mother and father. Did they have him out of wedlock and is that why Merlin took him away? I don't get it...who is older, Morgan or Arthur? Morgan acts as if Uther wronged her mother and married Igraine making her older, so then why get rid of Arthur? In Excalibur Arthur was payment for Uther's lust! I don't get it, cause its a different story from Excalibur!

Not everything was explained, but as far as I remember here's what this take on the legend had to say about the parentage:
Uther was first married to an unnamed woman and they had Morgan together. But that first wife died and Morgan was sent away. That's when Uther married Igraine and they had Arthur, who was taken into fosterage by Merlin, so that he would grow up into a better king than his father.
Morgan grew up convinced that Igraine was the evil b^tch of a stepmother who poisoned her father's mind and heart against his daughter, and as a consequence she also feels that the throne is hers by right and Arthur is her enemy. Late in the season, however, Igraine tells Morgan that she had her sent away to protect her, because Uther would have killed her (I think she also says that Uther killed his first wife, but I'm not sure I remember that correctly). We were left with conjectures as to the exact how and why of all this.

It's still a little confusing on why Arthur was sent away. In Excalibur, Igraine was the object of Uther's lust and Merlin change Uther to look like Igraine's husband. Igraine was also Morgans real mother. After Igraine's husband died, Uther took over and married Igraine. After Arthur was born, Merlin came to claim him as payment for Uther's lust, in which Merlin took him to a fosterage and he grew up into a better king than his father.
Basically this story, made Morgan Uther's blood instead of Igraines, and gave no reason why Arthur was taken away, and why Igraine was forbidden to search or speak of him!

But Excalibur was a movie, with a beginning, a middle and an end. This was just one season of what was supposed to be a much more developed story. All this would probably have been answered later on as a big reveal, and the hints in season 1 would have become meaningful. Sadly, we'll never know where they were going with that.

I'm sure it was shown in the show that Merlin cast a spell to make Arthur's father look like Igraine's husband. He than had sex with Igraine (technically raping her) and got her pregnant with Arthur. Arthur's father than killed Morgan's mother and married Igraine (can't remember what happened to her husband).

Uther had him killed.

It did not give no reason. When Merlin agreed to help Uther disguise himself so he could bed Igraine, the price was any child that comes of it. Uther knocked up Igraine producing Arthur, and Merlin returned to claim his payment. He wanted a child to be raised to be a great leader and take the country forward into an elightened age. He didn't want that child to be raised by Uther as he didn't think him to be a good person. Whether Merlin had Uther forbid Igraine from searching for Arthur or whether Uther did that on his own is unknown. Maybe Merlin didn't want Igraine to retrieve the child as that would negate the point in taking him in the first place. Or maybe Uther didn't want any reminder of the child he gave away, so it was his decision to forbid Igraine from pursuing the baby.

Arthur and Morgan are half-siblings. Morgan is older/just as old as Arthur. In the 1981 film "Excalibur", Morgan's around five or six when Arthur's born, but we are not shown if Morgan was alive when Arthur was born. Morgan's parents are Uther and his use-to-be queen. But he sought Igraine, so he had his men kill Cornwall while he took Igraine. From there, Arthur was conceived. So they share the same father, but have different mothers.

But Merlin states in the first episode Arthur "was his payment", since he knew if Uther kept him he would make Arthur just as barbaric as he was. So instead he took Arthur and gave him to Ector and his wife, since they had good values to help Arthur grow up.
