Worth Watching?

I enjoy stuff based off of Arthurian Legend but there's a pretty fine line between what is 'good' and 'bad' in this sense. I really enjoyed the 1998 mini-series Merlin if thats any comparison.

It's really hard to tell a stranger what he might or might not like. There are some very strong performances in this series, notably by Eva Green. And some beauty - I thought the sets were very well thought out and creative, especially Camelot; the costumes... not so much. On the downside I also thought the writing was sloppy and both plot and characterization were weak so...

The show sucked. Nobody watched it and it was wimped down. Only good thing was Eva Green (of course) , and she got naked in it quite a lot. Other than that it was not very good, and that's why it was not picked up for a 2nd season. Not worth watching for a season that never got to mature into anything further.

I thought Eva Green as Morgan, Joseph Fiennes as Merlin, and Claire Forlani as Ygraine were all very good. On the other hand, the two playing Arthur & Guinevere were both terrible. So terrible that one almost had to fast-forward through any of their scenes in order to get to the acters who could actually play a convincing part.

I gave it a rating of 5.

If not for Arthur and guin. It would've been great. Arthur looks sneaky and evil and crybaby. But merlin Eva g and some others did great
