Agreed, it was entertaining, I wasn't bored and the story kept me paying attention not something I can say for numerous films I have seen lately. I especially enjoyed how all the dumb as *beep* *beep* cops got their asses handed to them, especially the sheriff, what kind of a sheriff blindly fires into a room full of innocent people, and hits his own daughter of all people, what a moron, this storyline idea was kinda dumb in a way. Now that I think of it, it was strange how every single cop besides the girl cop were borderline retarded, it was like they were all 12 year old boys on a baseball team and the sheriff (their coach) favored them because they were boys and hated his daughter simply because she was a girl, a girl trying to play baseball, when all he wanted in life was a boy.
Besides the slightly repetitive characters such as this we have seen in countless films, I thought it was good, Eric Bana, Sissy Spacek and Kris Kristofferson were the ones who made the film good.
"I don't shut up, I grow up, and when I look at you I throw up!"
The movie was...inconsistent.
The script was weak. Some of the dialog was cheesy and not realistic. All the police scenes were cringe-inducing. When they find the abandoned snowmobile Mara says, "It looks like someone left this here."
Say what?
What else could have happened, it fell off the delivery airplane?
Hunnam was spotty. He still cant mask his British accent very well. His character was hollow.
Bana, Spacek and Wilde were all pretty good. The movie picked up once they all arrived at the Mills farm. Hard to believe it was only 88 minutes. Felt like it was 2 hours.
** out of ****
I agree its not THAT bad, I had heard bad tings about it but it was OK
