They could've driven it up the road close to where they needed to go, then ditch it in the woods. They would've been home-free.

yeah I found that premise of the movie so odd and strange. So instead of taking the troopers car where they had a police radio to monitor the calls and a shot gun and other supplies to drive the 30 miles left they needed to get across the border and be home free, they decided to separate and walk through 20 degree minus freezing blizzard, and liza was wearing a party dress?
That was just beyond odd. The writing was really off on this movie, you create interesting characters who were smart enough to pull off a complicated heist, and then they act like complete idiots who didn't seem to care if they lived anymore?
