Worst..Spoof...EVER.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW...IF YOU WANT TO WATCH THIS MOVIE AND BE SURPRISED...DON'T READ DOWN FURTHER!!!!!!!!!

Okay, normally, I like spoof movies. I can always find something about them that amuses me....even if the laughs are small or big. But, Vampires Suck, was just awful. There wasn't one scene that made me laugh...or even smile. I watched the whole thing....HOPING that there could be at least one redeeming scene...but it never came.

I've seen all the Twilight movies and have read the books. I don't consider myself a die hard fan....Twilight doesn't even begin to be a pimple on the azz of True Blood....a show that I AM a true fan of.

However, I was really looking forward to watching Vampires Suck. I'd seen many home-made spoofs/jokes about Twilight on youtube that were hilarious and I figured that a movie with a Hollywood budget would do a good job of making fun of the Twilight franchise. Boy, was I sadly mistaken.

I realize that the character of Bella is bland and pretty uninteresting in general....but to make the ENTIRE movie with that vibe was like the producers wanted to slit the throat of their own movie. The werewolves were a HUGE and epic fail. Chihuahuas? LAME. Whoever wrote the script was highly overpaid.

It would have been MUCH MUCH funnier to have Edward and Jacob messing with each other throughout the movie....even could have been funny for Becca to catch the two guys together(if you know what I mean). Bringing in the "team" fans was even dumber. I would have rather seen a fight scene spoofing the battle between the newborns/Cullens/weres than a lame fight between the team fans.

I could go on and on, but I won't waste any more of my time...or yours. LOL

All this movie is is a cheap knockoff of Twilight. Thy're using the old Italian explotation motto of "It Doesnt Matter What Your film is Lie, its what FILM your Film is like!" and look at what weve had: Dawn of the Dead-Hell of the Living Dead, Star Wars-Star Odyssey, Jaws-Devilfish. I could go on. But the studios can sue knockoffs like these. So, making these so called "Parodys" maes them Legal. Thats how the Asylum does it! But seriously, Vampires Suck= Worst Rippoff Ever! Its prtty much a Scene For Scene remake of the already horrible Twilight! Even Bruno Mattei refraind from doing that most of the tim. I hate to say it, but j&A may be the only people who made a carreer out of remakes-only.

A film student where? Greendale Community College? Everything he said is right.

However much "Twilight" ripped off "Roswell", this movie spoofing "Twilight" doesn't automatically make it good. A parody is a comedy and the quality of a comedy depends on how funny it was. If chips didn't think it was funny, that's his right.

Where do you get off calling him stupid just for not liking the film? I stopped accusing the "fans" (most of them seem to be trolls) of low intelligence long ago because I realized how immature it was.

Actually at The University of Southern California. Technically the best film school in the country. And no everything he said was flat out wrong.

BTW, the fact that you failed to notice my sarcasm in my suggestion of your alma mater shows that you're probably not too sharp yourself.

just because the humour is a bit to smart for you does not make it any less funny.

So how do random pop culture references (Lady Gaga? Seriously?) and jokes explained completely count as smart humor? If you're looking for smart humor, two words: "Arrested Development".

If you cannot seem that Twilight is such a rip off you head to have an Cat Scan to look for a tumor in your brain.

I never said that it wasn't. What I did say was that even if "Twilight" is a ripoff of "Roswell", that doesn't automatically make a parody of "Twilight" funny. You have to work at being funny. I don't think these guys did and neither did chips.

Roswell is a million times better than Twilight. Better writing, more interesting story and characters, better acting.

And "Arrested Development" is a million times better than "Vampires Suck". Or it would be if a million times zero weren't still zero.

Oh, and check your spelling and grammar. It kind of defeats your point if your post is full of misspellings and improper word usage.

I personally think Disaster Movie is the worst spoof ever, there was nothing whatsoever good about that movie. As far as the Friedberg-Seltzer movies go, Vampires Suck is the best of them. That said though, that is not saying much, like Disaster Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans and Date Movie before it, it is still lame and unfunny despite the fact it is the best-looking of their spoofs and the two leads were somewhat tolerable. Just for the record, I like spoof movies too, especially Mel Brooks movies like Young Frankenstein.

I agree with most of your post, although I thought that the fight between the fans was one of the funnier parts of the movie, it could have been done better. Another reason this film isn't as good as it could be is due to how short it is, its only 1 hour & 17 minutes long. It should have been longer & had more story elements from the series & as you said austin45, actually have things going on between Edward & Jacob. That would have made the entire movie great to me if they would have had scenes in which Jacob & Edward made fun of each other & whatnot. I went into this movie really expecting it to be better & funnier than it was, but most of the comedy was lame. I will agree that it is an improvement from Epic Movie & Disaster Movie, those are the worst.

It was pretty bad, but there's no way it was worse than Date Movie. NOTHING is worse than Date Movie. An Ed Wood marathon would be less painful.

That was the funniest line in your whole post. Because no one really wants to see it, and if they did watch it they wouldn't be surprised, it sucks like all the other ones they've made.

Wow, you are waaaaaay stating the obvious. EVERYONE knows it's a cheap knock-off...even the directors. What really pissed people off was that it was just plain not funny, it was painfully not funny, the worst crime a comedy can make.

Seems everytime I post that, someone always says "OMG Its a SPOOF not a RiPPOFF!" Is Nukie "SPOOF" of E.T.? I Dont think so!
