While the script leaves something to be desired (originality, humor, etc.) I think the acting of the principals far exceeds that of the so-called originals. I don't think I've seen Kristen or Robert in any other roles, but I have to say that based on their performances in Twilight it's no loss on my part. So I have to agree with you...Becca could only have improved Bella.
I'd rather be a smartass than a dumb one!
Robert was in several Harry Potter movies (he's killed off in 'The Goblet of Fire'), and Kristen was in 'Into the Wild'.
'Becca' was a take-off on 'Bella', so she wasn't necessarily spoofing the character from the book, she was spoofing 'K-Stew', as I've seen people call her.
Besides, she looked damn good in the corset!
Fight the FOCA
He wasn't in several Harry Potter movies, he was only in the one. I think it goes the same in the books as well, you are not introduced to Cedric Diggory until book 4, Goblet of Fire.
Kristen was also in that movie, The Runaways I think it was called, about Joan Jett.
Not the best spoof ever, but certainly not the worst either. Some parts were just dumb, but there were a few funny parts - too bad most of them were in the trailer and you knew they were coming.
I have to agree 100% as far as the actors - I think the entire cast more talent than any of the cast members in Twilight. They were also more attractive - on the whole Team Edward or Team Jacob was a no brainer for me - Team Neither; however,it would be a tough pick between this Edward or Jacob. The actress that portrayed Becca did bring more angst to the comedy role than Kristen Stewart did to the serious one. There was also a bit more on screen chemistry than Twilight.
I couldn't STAND the girl that played Bella in this. I'm probably biased as I love Twilight and Kristen Stewart, but their is NO way she's THAT annoying in the films. Otherwise, I wouldn't watch it.

Jessie's right, Woody - She was wrong.
I suppose if you're a really big fan of the books, then you probably wouldn't notice it as much... she's reEEEally annoying.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the movies at all, though I've been told that despite the acute sense that these are teens you're reading about the books are actually very well written.
I spotted Robert Pattinson a while back in things like Ring of the... Sword of... Dark Kingdom of... that too many titles norse/german myth film, and I liked him but I would rarely admit that now, because so many tweens will quickly shout me down saying that they've followed him since his first movies and whatnot.
It's things like that that make me hate twilight, along with how every tween that gets into it will then start claiming that books and movies older than twilight are "in fact" ripping off Meyer's work. That annoys the hell out of me.
In all honesty, I think Pattinson does very well in playing someone so off-kilter with the rest of the world. Even in his more intimate scenes there always seems to be something 'off' about him, which is interesting, but Kristen Stewart is cardboard, and to be fair that was one of the few things that made me crack a smile during Vampires Suck, when Becca starts talking about how frigid she is and whatnot, and the jock puts his arm around her and says the same thing, acting like that attracts him so much.
Like I said, maybe if you enjoy the books, the excitement or love of the material being recreated on screen eclipses that (no pun intended). However, for the rest of us, Kristen is the kind of annoying that you see cartoon-ized so often: someone sitting with their fingers clenched into the fabric of the trousers (or pants) and one eye twitching and blinking rapidly and erratically... don't even get me started on Mr. Jean Shorts. Yes, film makers of the world, everyone could see that that was a wig in the first movie! Argh!!

yea and all so she was way to upbeat :)

I really REALLY prefer this Bella to the Twi-original! And that's got nothing to do with the overrated interpretation of Stewart's Bella, but it does have everything to do with the fact that this girl was better at being a Bella-rip-off called Becca, than the original actress was at being the original character. It kind of pissed me off - not at this movie, but at the Twi-franchaise.
Can we have them remake the movies with this actress? Or switch to her in the fourth/fifth movies?! :P (And for the occasional twi-hards, that last part was, yes, a joke!)
Next time someone says a place is haunted, do me a favor, don't go in!
miss_jenniefer,
your quote... Supernatural?!?!
Pervert!
Not really. Some people have emoticons and what 'team' they belong to. I have a SPN quote. It's not like I type it in everytime I've written a post... :P

Yeah, I was just asking if that was where it was from because I love Supernatural. I knew it was your signature line.

Not only do I agree with this topic but I also preferred this movie compared to twilight. I thought the acting in its spoof was better done and more entertaining than the original movie. Which is sad.
shareSame, I thought this Becca was a definite improvement over the real one.
shareI'm amazed at how spot-on this actress was with her version of Bella. I actually thought it was KStew in many scenes, because she had her voice, tics, hair pulling, blinking, and generally irritating as heck idiosyncrasies perfectly done. I was actually angry halfway through, even moreso than I was with the actual Kristen Stewart because it was so identical and so uncanny. This girl really studied film and the craft of acting, physically and emotionally. That is NOT to be expected in this type of film. Matt Lanter was at times hilarious as pasty sparkly boy Edward. Plus, the trio of evil was perhaps better than the real trio of evil in the Twilight series (the recast comment cracked me up and "are you a real redhead?).
In general, I had a few giggles and liked this lambasting of the Twilight series. "Thanks for the spoilers, b*tch!"
Exactly! I thought this actress was incredibly talented to be able to imitate another actress so well. What a shame that a spoof movie had better acting than the serious version. In several scenes I could really be fooled that Kristen was in the movie instead. I really wish they had chosen this Edward and Bella instead, then maybe the Twilight movies would have been more tolerable!
shareLOL I keep remembering how she bit her lip and curled her hair with her finger, and I forgot a few times it wasn't Stewart! hehe I didn't mind Twilight (I still hate pasty sparkly though and the Twilight books seem like they were written by a 10 year old!), even though I am more a True Blood type. I generally don't discuss it because apparently you are not allowed to like both. LOL Kind of like with multi-team sport towns! You have to choose; you cannot like BOTH.
shareI love this Bella as well can't watch another twilight film ever

F@ck team Jacob and Edward I am on team Victoria!
